NEW ENGLAND - A Change of Seasons
I discovered the existence of New England for 1998 through references from friends who had visited Boston in that year. It wasn't until 2004 when I first visited this place. New England is the denominative of a region of the United States located in the northeast of the country. It is made up of six states: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. Its name derives from having been the geographical place where the first British settlers stayed. In 2004 I went to the states of Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire and since then, over the time I have been learning and understanding the people, lifestyle and passage of time in these beautiful places.
In 2015 I decided to professionally photograph these lands and create this New Photographic Project (New England - A Change of Seasons) it was made during the summer and fall. The project of publishing them was stalled for 5 years and now in 2020, I published the photos of a place that I love with great affection.

During the summer of 2015 I visited Plymouth, which is one of the oldest places in the United States, it is known to be the settlement of the Colony of Pilgrims, who traveled on the Mayflower. Founded in 1620. It is the oldest borough in New England. The city has been the location of several important events, the most prominent being the organization of the first Thanksgiving feast. The Colony of Plymouth occupied most of the southeast of the present state of Massachusetts. Cape Cod.

My temporary residence was on Cape Cod, a peninsula at the eastern end of the state of Massachusetts. The small villas and the extensive seafront attract massively to tourism during the summer months. The peninsula was formed in the time of glaciers, resulting in a peninsula on the Atlantic Ocean. It is characteristic for its miles and miles of beaches, natural attractions, historical sites, art galleries, and a large number of restaurants and is highly visited by tourists and hikers.
House in Chatham
The Hydrangea includes ornamental plants, known as (Hortensia), commonly used on the fronts of buildings or residences on Cape Cod that thanks to the good weather are easy to grow.
Chatham it is a very popular place for working students, known for its beautiful beaches, lighthouses, a large number of hotels and restaurants. Students have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment alongside American workers for an opportunity each day to improve their knowledge of English.

Looking for Hopper's houses.
One of my favorites painters, Edward Hopper visited Cape Cod in 1930. In 1934, he and his wife, Josephine, built a modest summerhouse a classic Cape, but for a huge north-facing window. On a sand bluff, the house overlooks nothing but bearberry, broom crowberry, dune grass and an empty stretch of Fisher Beach.

Secret streets.
Fall on Cape Cod is moderate and not as pronounced as further north. During the photographic sections I always rode my bike through the most secret and beautiful streets that led to protected areas.

In 2004 I visited the White Mountains in New Hampshire, but couldn't see fall. These mountains are a range that covers about a quarter of the state of New Hampshire and a small portion of western Maine. It wasn't until 2015 that I got to see fall at its best. Chocorua is a community in Carroll County, New Hampshire. It is located south of Lake Chocorua and Mount Chocorua, that is commonly known in the area as the "Matterhorn" of the White Mountains due to its triangular summit. Lake Chocorua is a common stopping place to take pictures of the mountainous landscape.
Lakeside.
New Hampshire is one of the most wonderful places I have visited, one of the things that caught my attention the most was the license plates of the vehicles that have the state motto: "Live free or die." New Hampshire is located in the northeast region of the country, in New England, bordering Canada to the north.
